God Created The Laws of Nature
In the other articles on the laws of nature, Proof of God – The Cosmos and The Galaxy, Solar System and Planet That God Created for Support Life we’ve seen specific proof that the hand of God has shaped our universe, galaxy, solar system and planet to support life as we know it. In this article, let’s step back from the discussion of specific natural laws, their associated constants and characteristics and even our local environment. Stop for a sec and think about this: why do we have laws of nature in the first place? In the end, it will be clear that there’s no natural explanation for their existence and equally clear that God created the laws of nature.
Why do we have the law of gravity such that two objects, just because they have mass, are attracted to each other? The earth and sun are attracted to each other despite a 93 million miles separation. Your salt and pepper shakers are also attracted to each other. Given enough time, and possibly a more frictionless surface, those two shakers will actually come together. Yes they will. But why?
Why do protons, neutrons, electrons and their constituent parts come together the way they do? Why do tennis balls follow the same kind of path through the air once they’re hit by a racquet? The list of questions goes on and on – all centered around “why?” For these questions, we have equations but no answers as to why we have such equations.
So seriously, stop and ponder this: why do we have natural laws that apply across the universe? Where did they come from? Who or what created them in the first place?
Okay, I know what you’re thinking: “I can’t. I can’t really think about that”. Well, frankly, neither can I. I don’t even know how to start pondering that other than to just dumbly say, “yeah, wow, that’s crazy!”
It gets even worse: Why in the world (sorry for the trite-itude) is the universe arranged such that we can write down on one sheet of paper or two the key formulas describing that universe? Keep in mind, our ordered universe came about from the Big Bang. As in “bang”, lots of chaos. If I use my imagination, I can envision in my head little particle thingys zooming all around and then coming together some short time later just because it’s so hot and heat seems to force elemental particles together. But here’s the key quandary: how do you go from a bunch of random particles (or waves, or quantum particles or whatever) coming together because it’s super hot to an ordered universe where the equations can be written on 1-2 sheets of paper.
To me, that’s just unfathomable. Seriously beyond comprehension.
I may be just a regular guy but I’m not the only one who has no clue. “We”, as a species, seem to have absolutely no clue. This video is a bit long but watch the first couple minutes: (Watch the rest if you have time and interest – it covers material discussed in Proof of God – The Cosmos.)
Here’s input from some great thinkers. Warning: these guys, through no fault of theirs, don’t have the answers either so they start rambling on divergent topics. You don’t actually have to read these articles. You can take my word for it: no one has a clue.

Proof of God? You Betcha! God Created The Laws of Nature – What More Do You Need?
Since we, as a species, have no idea why the laws of nature exist and why they’re so simple, we can’t say “for sure” that God is at work here. Unlike all previous essays with all their cool videos and gigantically improbable odds, there are no mathematical model demonstrating that God created the laws of nature. However, by the mere fact that we have no clue how such a vast component of our physical universe came to be, there must be something else going on. Something a lot bigger than us. Something that we can’t even begin to understand.
Consider this video as a salve to help heal your twisted, aching brain:
I put this essay here, last in the Proof of God series, on purpose. For those seeking specific proof that God exists, all evidence in the other articles is much more obvious and compelling. It’s those articles that should convince the critical. But here, you really get to see the most fundamental proof – albeit indirect. Here you have a literal “sign from God” – something that exists but cannot be explained – even by our best minds who’ve pondered this for decades and likely centuries. In fact, here you have a miracle from God and one that you can see, feel and taste every single day of your life. It’s a genuine “sign from God” miracle that you know, in your heart, is real and true – that God created the laws of nature. It’s a “sign from God” miracle that shows you Gods’ hand at work.
In summary, after reviewing all the material in the Proof of God – Part 1, Proof of God – Part 2 and this Proof of God – Part 3, it should now, be absolutely clear that God created the universe to support our planet and life as we know it. Also, God created the laws of nature. Just step back and review all the data: specific proof of His hand at work creating the universe, our galaxy, our solar system, our planet, our cells and our proteins combined with the awesome “sign from God” miracle surrounding the fundamental question of why we are ruled by laws of nature – an incomprehensible question that we can’t even begin to understand much less answer. God exists and His handiwork is obvious for all to see. God is Great! Can I get an Amen!?!

Other Next Steps
Consider one of these options:
- If you’re Jewish, Muslim or Christian, take a moment and say a prayer. Thank God for the awesome world we live in and for each blessing of your life
- If you’ve been skeptical about God but are ready to consider following Him then just stop here for a few minutes, close out the distractions of life and, if needed, find a place where you can be at peace. Ask God to enter your life and your heart. Ask for forgiveness for the things you do that are bad. Thank Him for each of the blessings in your life and for the amazing world that surrounds you. And ask Him to help you live the life that fits His plan for you
- If you’re still skeptical then I’m sorry but I don’t have much more for you. Belief in God can be elusive for some. Eventually, you have to go with what’s in your heart.
